A Day Well Spent, Andrea Nevel

Friend of Spring Creek •

A Day Well Spent (2026) $30.00 This print is based on a photograph I took during a day at the creek with my youngest child. It’s a place we go to recharge, relax, find inspiration and enjoy each other’s company. I love printmaking and have been trying to get back into creating my own art. A show about one of my favorite places was perfect inspiration! Thank you Perrodins! ❤️ Andrea Nevel Springdale, Arkansas Printmaking What is Spring Creek to you? Untitled (DOOMED!), Steven Jones

Friend of Spring Creek •

Untitled (DOOMED!) (2026) (not for sale) Influenced by the subconscious and the natural environment, the forms are an expression of memory, emotion, and tension. They struggle and influence each other as they interact and change the other’s form and composition. There is no in-between space. Everything impacts and influences everything struggling to survive (co-exist). It is a reaction to the beauty with the contrasting destruction of the natural environment around Spring Creek and its tributaries such as Puppy Creek. Music cross-pollinates with the images to bring life and emotion to the inanimate. The emotion stems from the everyday beauty and honest reality of a daily existence in today’s contemporary landscape. Form and color are meant to evoke a subconscious reaction that can only be determined by the viewer themself. The viewer defines what they are seeing. Steven Jones Springdale, Arkansas Other (Oil Pastel on cotton paper) What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek is the origin and direct connection between nature, history, and the people of the Ozarks as the City develops beyond the small rural settlement. “It is this what you mean, isn’t it: that the river is everywhere at once, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the rapids, in the sea, in the mountains, everywhere at once, and that there is only the present time for it, not the shadow of the past, not the shadow of the future?” Siddhartha by Hermann Hess

Waterways, 1-5 out of edition of 20, Erin Morrison

Friend of Spring Creek •

Waterways, 1-5 out of edition of 20 (2026)$250.00This work is in response to a recent trip to Spring Creek with Amber and friends. I had not been before, but found it so calm and inviting. I had etched a plate at an artist residency program in Silicy three years ago, but did not have the opportunity to move forward with that suite of prints. It was a simple undulating line, and I intended to make chine-colle prints, backing handpainted rice papers with a rice adhesive and using the pressure of the press to make the print and collage the papers together simultaneously. I came across a large stone on the dry creek bed that had developed patterns from the flow of water and debris being pushed agaist and around it over time. I lugged this stone to my car and meditated on it, while painting my rice papers in the palette matching a small plein-air painting I had made in the water. I hope the print gives the impression I felt of water moving over stones. Erin MorrisonFayetteville, ArkansasPrintmaking What is Spring Creek to you?I found Spring Creek to be much like my experiences at other creeks in the area. I like to run with my dog through town, and whenever I can we pull off to swim and cool down in a creek. Maple was with me this trip, and she loved splashing in the water while playing fetch. I love having access to spaces like this, where we can just pull over and be immersed in nature. https://erinmorrison.comhttps://www.instagram.com/erin.c.morrison/

Leprechaun (Zach) at Rubber Duck race, Becky Christenson

Friend of Spring Creek •

Leprechaun (Zach) at Rubber Duck race (2026) $720.00 This is painted from a photo I took at the first rubber duck race at Spring Creek, downtown Springdale. What a great way to get people together along the creek and raise money the same time. I attended, had purchased a ticket, and was hoping my duck would win. I took some photos and enjoyed a good time. To my surprise, after the race was over the leprechaun came up to me. It was Zach Brothers! I’d know him since he was in first grade. It was great to see him. Becky Christenson Springdale, Arkansas Painting, Drawing & Illustration, Photography, Digital Art, Sculpture, Ceramics & Pottery, Mixed Media & Collage What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek is in the Illinois River Watershed. The Illinois River Watershed Partnership, frequently organizes cleanups, buffer restorations, and community education events along Spring Creek to protect its water quality. I was an artist-in-residence at the watershed partnership. I also built a cave inside their building using various types of sculpture. I created plants and animals that live inside and outside of caves in Arkansas. There is a tunnel I made that could be crawled through. https://www.beckychristenson.com https://www.facebook.com/BeckyChristensonART

Green Heron, Becky Christenson

Friend of Spring Creek •

Green Heron (2026) $770.00 I was Plein Air painting in downtown Springdale with a group of artists, the Plein Air painters of the Ozarks. While walking on the trail, I noticed a bird in Spring Creek. I took some photos of it in the water. Then, it flew and I got a good photo of it flying away. I wanted to paint it because it shows that there is wildlife at the creek and how the green Heron is somewhat camouflaged. Becky Christenson Springdale, Arkansas Painting, Drawing & Illustration, Photography, Digital Art, Sculpture, Ceramics & Pottery, Mixed Media & Collage What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek feeds into the broader Illinois River drainage basin, which supplies drinking water to northwest Arkansas and neighboring Oklahoma communities. The Illinois River Watershed Partnership, frequently organizes cleanups, buffer restorations, and community education events along Spring Creek to protect its water quality. I was artist-in-residence at the Illinois River Watershed Partnership and created a cave inside, with sculpted plants and animals that live inside and outside a cave. https://www.beckychristenson.com https://www.instagram.com/beckychristensonart/

Solar Essence No.1, Tram Colwin

Friend of Spring Creek •

Solar Essence No.1 and Solar Essence No. 3 (2024) $400.00 In recent years, the idea of belonging has become an important thread in both my life and my artistic practice. Having resettled in Northwest Arkansas at a young age, I have often questioned what it means to belong to a place, to a community, and as someone who once arrived as an outsider. I find myself asking what belonging looks like and what it means for a community to cultivate a sense of belonging for others. When I encountered the prompt centered around Spring Creek, I was drawn to the creek as more than a natural resource. It is a source so integral to this place that a town was shaped and named around it. Spring Creek has helped shape the landscape and the community around it, and I believe the ways we honor, respect, and care for the natural world reveal something about how we care for one another. This piece is a collaboration between myself and the natural resources Using locally grown flowers, plants, weed—gathered and pressed by me alongside sourced imagery— I created cyanotypes through exposure to the sun’s UV light. The resulting forms become a visual meditation on cultivation, the act of tending, nurturing, and creating the conditions for something to grow. Through this process, I think about belonging not as something we simply find, but something we cultivate within ourselves, within our communities, and within the places we call home. Tram Colwin Siloam Springs, Arkansas Painting, Other (Please specify) What is Spring Creek to you? Like most waterways, I am drawn to Spring Creek through the senses. I find myself listening to the water as it moves through rocks and sediment, watching light dance across its surface, and listening to the wind move through the trees. I notice the birds and small creatures that make their way there, each adding to the quiet life of the creek. Together, these moments call me to slow down, be present, and simply be. https://tramcolwinstudio.com https://www.instagram.com/tramcolwinstudio/

Heron in the Sunset, Omar Romero

Friend of Spring Creek •

Heron in the Sunset (2025) $150.00 This piece was inspired by the herons that spend time at the creek. Every time I take a walk by the creek, getting to see the herons makes the walk extra special. Because of this, herons have become one of my favorite animals because they look so majestic at the creek, whether they are taking a break or on the hunt. Omar Romero Springdale, Arkansas Drawing & Illustration What is Spring Creek to you? Growing up in downtown Springdale, I always loved having the Spring Creek so close to us. It gave us a place that was still nature in the middle of town. It is a great place to run into familiar faces and talk while the sounds of the creek are around us. I love the animals that we get to spot in the creek too. Herons being my favorite of them all, but it’s hard to choose one above all the fun animals we get to coexist with. https://www.instagram.com/ojtats/

Transcend II – Life and Flow, Serina Faist

Friend of Spring Creek •

Transcend II – Life and Flow (2026) $175.00 The artwork symbolizes water. Serina Faist’s artwork explores how symbols and color evokes emotion and helps create connection to water, our most precious life-giving resource. The artwork, Transcend II – Life and Flow is made with hand cut wood and acrylic paint with the color and shape to symbolize water flowing over you and allowing you to let go. Similar to the color of Spring Creek just at before nightfall, the blue color in the artwork signifies transition from evening to night. Serina Faist Bentonville, Arkansas Mixed Media & Collage What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek symbolizes the continuous, gentle flow of life, personal growth, and emotional transition. It provides a place where I go to reflect and watch the rippling and swirling water in the evening. The creek water flickers like glitter in the moonlight. Protecting water quality is important to me. This is a wonderful opportunity to share Spring Creek’s beauty, but also its value as a lifeline in our landscape to transport water, filter pollutants, and sustain diverse ecology. https://www.bluesafirestudio.com/

Where Past Meets Present, Ami Segur

Friend of Spring Creek •

Where Past Meets Present (2026) $150.00 This piece was inspired by the idea that Spring Creek is not only part of the landscape, but also part of the history and everyday life surrounding it. I wanted to show the creek flowing between reminders of the past – the old cabin and wagon wheel – and the present, represented by the trail, bridge, and people enjoying the area today. The creek becomes the connection between those two worlds. Although the surroundings change with time, the water continues to move through the same landscape, creating new memories while carrying the store of the place forward. I chose soft watercolor with detailed ink lines to give the painting the feeling of an illustrated memory – somewhere familiar, peaceful, and full of stories. Ami Segur Centerton, Arkansas Painting What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek reminds me that nature is always changing while somehow remaining familiar. The flowing water, trees, wildlife, and traces of the area’s past all tell a store. It has taught me to slow down, notice the small details around me, and appreciate how one place can connect generations of people and memories.

Through the Letters of Spring Creek, Ami Segur

Friend of Spring Creek •

Through the Letters of Spring Creek (2026) $150.00 “Each letter is a small window into Spring Creek, because sometimes a place is remembered not by one view, but by all the little moments within it.” In this piece I wanted each letter of “Spring Creek” to feel almost like a tiny window into the area. Within the letters are glimpses of flowing water, bridges, trees, wildflowers, trails, fishing, picnics and the quiet places that invite you to slow down and look around. I chose this approach because my experience of Spring Creek isn’t represented by just one image. I wanted to show a small collection of all the details that mean the most. I want the viewer to move from letter to letter and discover something new each time. To me, Spring Creek represents both place and memory: somewhere familiar that can still offer something new each time you look a little closer. Ami Segur Centerton, Arkansas Painting What is Spring Creek to you? Spring Creek reminds me that beauty is often found in the small, ordinary things we can easily overlook-the movement of the water, wildflowers along the bank, birds in the trees, and the changing colors of each season. To me, Spring Creek represents connection, change, and the quiet reminder to appreciate what is growing and living right in front of us. Spending time at the creek has taught me to slow down and notice that every part of nature has a place and a purpose.
