Intersecting biomorphic lines and shapes connect across materials and through the layers, imagining a more organic and connected world breathing as a unified organism. It’s that part of the loop where a stair goes down and greets you to a small part of the creek. I envision this piece with children discovering that path and thinking they’ve found a magical hideout. Shared Belonging is a reminder that the people I pass along The Greenway or sit next to in the park may not all share the same experiences, beliefs, or needs but they do share the same belonging. Ozark Technicolor I (2026) $400.00 Ozark Technicolor reimagines the hills of the land I live on and paint from daily, in saturated pink, chartreuse, and gold. Water runs through the entire Ozarks like a nervous system — creeks and trails threading through cities, open space, and everything between, connecting places that might otherwise feel separate. Spring Creek, and the trail that follows it from Springdale’s urban heart out into open, tree-marked country, is part of that same continuous system. My work isn’t about rendering what the land looks like, but what it feels like to move through it: how psyche and place are tangled together, each shaping the other. The heightened, kid-core palette is my way of being honest about that feeling; a little more vivid, a little more alive than a photograph would allow. This piece is an invitation to see the Ozarks, and the water that stitches it together, not as scenery but as something we’re all, quietly, made of.
