Moss Poke Pecan (2026)
$550.00
This painting is an intuitive non representational response with paint made from materials harvested at Spring Creek in addition to other natural paints. Intersecting biomorphic lines and shapes connect across materials and through the layers, imagining a more organic and connected world breathing as a unified organism. I hope my painting can inspire ownership of our landscape and a love of natural materials good for the earth and good for us. This piece includes paint made from Spring Creek moss, pecans, and pokeberries in addition to avocado pit and turmeric paints I made.

What is Spring Creek to you?
Spring Creek is a local water source pivotal to our natural ecosystem in northwest Arkansas. I am thankful there are so many wonderful people who love her. As a teacher at Springdale High School, I hope to have more field trips to the creek so that students may take ownership in her care as well.
