Tackle Box Prints (2026)

Earlier this Summer, I found a small plastic tackle box near a bullfrog pond along the watershed.
I’ve been visiting the pond since January, but so have the birds, the neighborhood kids, the off-leash dogs, cats and bullfrogs. As my visiting has become more of a ritual, the tackle box appeared to me as something I was meant to find that day.
I take the little yellow tackle box as a sign of life, use, and enjoyment. It holds divining glittering, wiggly, mysterious, and familiar objects.
I wanted to make improvisational contact prints and scans, arranging and reproducing the tackle box treasures. Maybe I’m playing soothsayer with it’s contents, looking for something supernatural, or maybe I’m just curious about the life of these objects along the watershed just outside the frame.
