This piece was inspired by the herons that spend time at the creek. Every time I take a walk by the creek, getting to see the herons makes the walk extra special. Because of this, herons have become one of my favorite animals because they look so majestic at the creek, whether they are taking a break or on the hunt.

What is Spring Creek to you?
Growing up in downtown Springdale, I always loved having the Spring Creek so close to us. It gave us a place that was still nature in the middle of town. It is a great place to run into familiar faces and talk while the sounds of the creek are around us. I love the animals that we get to spot in the creek too. Herons being my favorite of them all, but it’s hard to choose one above all the fun animals we get to coexist with.
