The Hatchery is home to community classes, workshops, exhibitions, pop-up shops and events brought to you by Perrodin Supply Co. and the creative community of Northwest Arkansas.
The Hatchery was designed to inspire and is a space where a creativity and ideas come to life.
The Hatchery is an historic 3200sf structure in downtown Springdale, Arkansas. The Springdale Central Market company built this building in the 1950’s. This is where they began hosting farmer’s markets during this time.
Farmers would back up their trucks along the side of the building to unload their crates of produce to sell to local grocery stores and restaurants – at that time the entire structure was open with exposed beams and only a roof to keep out the rain. It was a long standing tradition each year to auction off the first season’s crate of local strawberries to the highest bidder.
In the 1970s it transitions from being part of the East Side Youth Center to later being turned into a transportation facility for local trucking and transport companies. On August 27th, 2013 Perrodin Supply Co. purchased the building and here begins our story of The Hatchery.
